2015

The “Youth Voices” is implemented in collaboration with 3 youth-led initiatives: Abnaa Saida Association, Zibkeen Youth Club, and Clac Qaa which are active in the areas of Old Saida, Zibkeen, and Qaa.

The project aims at enhancing the participation of young people in local development processes through sensitizing the Municipal Councils in these areas to have a youth perspective in their plans, budgets, and public services.

In parallel, the project supported the 3 youth-led initiatives to undertake advocacy campaigns addressing the Municipal Council in their community over specific youth priorities. Below is a synopsis:

  • In Old Saida, the campaign titled “Sawa Shabab” (Youth Together) focused on the spread of violence among youth.
  • In Qaa, campaign titled “Bsohetna” (For Our Health) focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth.
  • In Zibkeen, the campaign titled “Salemetna” (Our Safety) focused on spreading awareness on the environment preservation.
