MASAR was founded in 2005 with the aim to contribute to national development processes and the advancement of society.

٢) دعم إعادة تطبيق نماذج تنموية ناجحة.

الشباب من خلفيات متنوعة حددوا حاجاتهم وتطلعاتهم ومشاكلهم – صنّفوها في قطاعات- شكّلوا مجموعات عمل حول كل قطاع- وضعوا توصيات لسياسة شبابية في كل قطاع- رفعوها الى وزارة الشباب والرياضة. بعدها، قام الشباب بنشر ثقافة السياسة الشبابية الوطنية واهمية إيجادها بين اترابهم الشباب وصانعي القرار السياسيين ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني.

Young people from different backgrounds identified their needs, problems, ambitions and aspirations categorized them into major sectors, and established working groups around each one. The working groups developed recommendations for a youth policy and presented them to the Ministry of Youth & Sports. Then YOUTH promoted the concept and importance of the NYP among their peers, duty bearers and civil society organizations.

أقرّ مجلس الوزراء اللبناني وثيقة السياسة الشبابية الوطنية بالإجماع. وتبّنتها لجنة الشباب والرياضة النيابية بعد اسبوع من تاريخ إقرارها، كما أُطلقت من القصر الجمهوري في شهر كانون الاول في حفلٍ رسمي من العام نفسه.

يتمّ تطبيق السياسة الشبابية الوطنية مع إستمرار العمل على تمكين الشباب اللبناني للمطالبة بحقوقهم. ويتمّ حالياً العمل على تطبيق واحدة من توصيات السياسة الشبابية الوطنية، وهي “تفعيل المجالس الطلابية في المدارس الرسمية”، وذلك بالشراكة مع وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي.
