2015 –2017

The ‘Young Arab Voices’ is a regional programme that was launched jointly by the British Council and the Anna Lindh Foundation in 2011. it aims at developing the skills of youth to take part in youth-led debates across the Arab region for the purpose of enriching the pluralistic democratic dialogue in the Arab world.

In Lebanon, the programme had been implemented with Masar Association as the national partner over 2 consecutive phases during July 2015 – May 2017 with the participation of various organizations, including: universities, community-based organizations, NGOs, youth wings in political parties from all over Lebanon.

The programme in Lebanon aims to promote the culture of debate and dialogue among Lebanese youth that is evidence- based and tackling issues that impact their life. The debate topics were based on the National Youth Policy document that was endorsed by the Lebanese Council of Ministers in 2012; in addition to issues related to the political system in Lebanon, corruption, and environment…

Organisations that took part in the programme are: Lebanese University Faculty of Public Health (Ein w Zein branch); Lebanese University Faculty of Public Health (Zahleh branch); Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK)/ Youth4Peace; American University of Beirut (AUB); Lebanese American University (LAU); Lebanese International University (LIU) – Bekaa Campus; Notre Dame University – Louaize (NDU); Youth Sector in Future Movement; Azm Youth; Progressive Youth Organization; Abnaa Saida Association; Helem; Youth Energy for Development (YED); Safadi Foundation; Josour El Nour; Beddawi Youth Initiative; Media Association for Peace (MAP), Clac du Qaa, Badghan Social and Cultural club.
